Dans la nuit de mercredi à jeudi, des militants pro-Trump ont envahi le Capitole, se frayant unchemin jusqu’à la Chambre des représentants. La situation est depuis sous contrôle. En rouvrant la séance pour valider l’élection de Joe Biden et Kamala Harris, la présidente de la Chambre des représentants Nancy Pelosi a dénoncé « une attaque honteuse portée à la démocratie ». « À ceux qui se sont efforcés de nous arracher à nos responsabilités, vous avez échoué », a-t-elle lancé.
